The dance is done by beating the two sticks in hands on the beats of drums which is known as Garba. The modern form of Garba is Dandiya is which the dance is done of modern beat music and orchestra. Gujarat Festivals Tour


The most important festival of the state is Navaratri celebrated with great religious fervour. The stringent fasts are ended on the tenth day along with worship, dance and music dedicated to goddess Durga. Diwali and Holi are other major festivals celebrated grandly in the state. Kite Festival, another festival in Gujarat, is observed on the 14th of January, the day of Makar Sankranti in India on which kites are flown from the terrace of the home.
