The train embarks on a seven night-eight day journey. It starts from Bangalore and goes through many places before finishing its journey at the point from where it started- Bangalore. Remember to check your ticket before you board the train. Traveling without a proper ticket or a complimentary one is illegal.

The journey starts on a Monday at the Bangalore Railway Station. You need to be at the station at least one hour prior to the time of departure. From there the train moves to Mysore which is an overnight journey. In Mysore an excursion to the Island Fortress of Srirangapatnam, a visit to the Mysore palace and the Vrindavan Gardens gives you a hint of what lies ahead on this seven day tour.

Don't forget to take your camera to click pictures and take them back home with you. The train then moves to Nagarhole where you get a chance to see the wildlife sanctuary. When here, kindly refrain from carrying any valuables with you.

On the third day the train reaches Belur where the beautiful carvings on these temples of the Hindu deities are a wonder in itself. Before taking any photograph of these intricate carvings you would be required to check if photography is allowed or not. After this ride the next stop is Hospet which is known for the World Heritage site of Hampi. It is here in the courtyard of the Vittal temple where the chariot stands from where the train gets its name-Golden Chariot.

On the sixth day the train moves towards Badami where the temples made between third to ninth centuries still stand tall. The World Heritage Site of Badami has more than one hundred and fifty temples. If you want to know the story behind the site then you can take the services of a licensed guide of the government.

After that breathtaking site the train whistles towards the golden sand beaches of Goa. Cathedrals, light houses there is lots to see in Goa. Do remember to carry a swim gear with you with sunglasses, caps and suns cream to protect yourself from the sun. But if you are traveling in the months where it is slightly chilly then do not forget to pack your light woolen clothes. You can even shop around here but do that only at government emporiums or authorized counters.

On the last day the train silently journeys back to Bangalore taking in all that it has witnessed and proud of be the ride to all these amazing places.
